HELP!!!
We are a gay male couple of many years. We are moving to Manta in mid-December of this year.
My partner is medically retired and receives an SSI stipend of approx $900.00 per month. As we understand it, this stipend will end when he moves to EC. I carry the heavy end of the financial situation with 2 good retirements as well as Social Security. At this point, we are unable to prove that my partner has any income at all, and that it all comes from me. It is becoming quite a sticky wicket.
Does anyone have a good attorney in Manta who can be of assistance? Does anyone know of an alternative visa available for my partner which does not require a provable income? We are meeting with the EC Consul in Orlando this Saturday, and hope he might have some ideas, but any advice based on experience will be greatly welcomed. Thanks,
