There has been some discussion on another forum about generators in Ecuador. I found a distributor for Onan-Cummins generators which were recommended by an US American living on the coast who had one specially brought in. Anyway, the company indicated that if 4 generators were ordered, they could get them here much more reasonably. Anyone living in the highlands that is considering purchasing a generator, please let me know. I understand that generators manufactured here are of very poor quality, so this might be a way to go. If this rationing lasts as long as indicated, it might be a valuable investment.
