recorded Internet flowrate in Machala

An acquaintance of mine recorded a speed of 400 kbps in Machala, using broadband from Machala Net. We tested the speed with http://www.speedtest.net/ and recorded 0.39 Mbps. He pays $35/month for it. He can do video messaging with this (but we didn´t have sound).

He said that Machala Net offered him a plan with 1 Mb/second for about $60/month.
