Hi there,
I am thinking about moving to Ecuador with my husband and 3 kids. I think that I know more about Ecuador then my own country. I feel I have done my homework but there is one thing that still puzzles me, undoubtebly to some extent from various mainstream media sources:
Rafael Correa, in what I have read seems to have dome some extraordinary things to date. For example, land rights in the Constitution, defaulting on the debt, waiving patent rights on pharmaceutical drugs, encouraging agriculture, etc...
In forums however, some people who have family in Ecuador will say that he is awful. They will say that he revokes rights and treats people poorly, families are suffering and so on.
So, I am asking the forum, for those of you who have been to Ecuador or live there if you have any comments on this.
Is Correa ligitimate and really for the people? or is he another corrupt president that follows the long line of previous ones..
Thanks, any feedback would be great!
