Hello - I'm full of questions today, but I find this forum really helpful. I want to bring my cat to live in Ecuador with me and I'm aware of the requirements to bring an animal into the country, the veterinary certificate, etc.
My specific question is if it is possible to bring your cat in a carrier ON BOARD (as opposed to underneath in cargo) into Ecuador. Someone at one of the airlines said that Ecuador doesnt allow animals to enter from an airplane except if they are in the cargo hold. I haven't been able to find anything stating this anywhere on the internet. I also called my local state office of the USDA and they couldn't answer the question.
Obviously, I love my little beast, and I know he'd be happier at my feet than with the luggage.
Thanks
