With 13 days before I leave for EC, I have been thinking of all the mistakes that a newbie could make. So I'm starting this thread for educational reasons! If I know of common newbie mistakes before hand, maybe I won't be as likely to make them myself! With that, I'm thinking of what might happen to me.
You know you are a newbie when...
1. You hurry off the plane after the long flight from the US only to realize you have no idea what the word "bathroom" is.
2. Needing a cell phone, spending 1/2 a day driving around the out skirts of Salinas - knowing there is a Best Buy in every suburb.
3. Craving my favorite meal of fettuccine alfredo with the house wine - only to drive another 1/2 day and still not find the local Olive Garden.
I might not be the smartest bulb on the tree, so I would appreciate all NAL's (newbie avoidence lessons) that people could share. Us newbies will benifit from it!!!
arrivederci
