Domestic help

Please don't think we are snobs but if we are in Ecuador on a full time basis we would be interested in some in home help. We would be in the Salinas area. We know from our visits that most homes, even apartments, come with service quarters but I am not so sure I want a live in. What do you guys do? What does full time help mean? Days? Hours? What would the cost per month be and what might we expect that in home help to do on a daily basis? I would love to have help with the cleaning, dishes, laundry that kind of stuff.....you only retire once :) and speaking of growing old gracefully what about nursing help in home. Is that easily available and what might it cost?
