Doctors? Regular Meds?

If we are living in the coastal area of ecuador will it be hard to find a doctor, so we can have our regular medicines ie thyroid medication or diabetic insulin and supplies?

And.....Does anyone know what kind of cost is involved for diabetic supplies, insulin, etc?
