Buying Real Estate Need your opinon

Hi Everyone,
I noticed in the "1st Time" post that several entries talked about Cuenca being over rated. International Living Magazine, of which I am a subscriber, has listed it as the numer one place in the world to retire. It would be good to hear your comments about why you don't think Cuenca is as good as IL Magizine is describing.

Also, IL and its real estate partner "Pathfinder Real Estate" is claiming that the the next big beach property explosion is going to happen in the stretch of Ecuador's coast between San Vicente and Pedernales. For those that live in Ecuador...what do you think? Is this area all that it's cracked up to be?
