Coming to Ecuador for 1st visit

Hello everyone! I am planning to come to Ecuador in 2011 for my 1st visit in preparation for moving there in 2015 or before. I have done some research and wanted to ask those who are there already is there a best time of the year to come to ecuador? I am ready to see what Ecuador is all about and am starting to plan my adventure--I would like to see the Quito/Cotocachi/Otovalo area, the Cuenca area and especially the Salinas area to have a drink at Ocean Hideaway or Will's Sports bar--and meet some of you good people!!!--I am reading all 96 pages of posts on the forum to get a good mix of info from different people. Keep up the great posts and I hope to see you in 2011!!
