A new IyLA in this world!

This afternoon at 2:30 PM my daughter gave birth to my first grandchild, Iyla Shay. 8 pounds 4 ounces, 21 and half inches long and perfect in appearance (looks like a Gerber baby).

My daughter and her husband were having a real difficult time deciding what to name their daughter. I had mentioned to my daughter about the new friends I had made, Kent and Ila. When she heard the name Ila she said "that is pretty" and her husband Brian agreed. So now we have a new Ila in this world. When the baby is older (did I tell you how BEAUTIFUL she is!) we hope to come visit her namesake.

She is very alert looking all around. I was told she was moving quite a bit while being born kicking her feet and waving her arms. Delivery only took 15 minutes!

As for me I probably will not be able to answer much on this thread as I am losing my internet connection today.
