Honest Mentor for potential, "newbie."

Looking for someone smart and honest, who would be willing to communicate with me regularly by email.

Have been considering a trip to Euenca for a long time, but have several questions that need answering, so I would feel more comfortable. While I am in pretty good health, at age 69, am I, "nuts," for considering a visit with an eye toward moving to
Cuenca?

Am alone (divorced), and do not speak Spanish. Have been to Mexico and Costa Rica several times and have determined those spots are not for me. Nice places tho, if the Banditos don' get you. (Just kidding!)

Well educated and tend to learn quickly, so a Mentor would probably not have to spoon-feed me.

I need a Mentor!!
