Where oh where?

After reading a lot of the forum and getting an idea of where other people like or would like to live - I have a question?

I LOVE the sound of the weather in Cuenca - But "Queen Cuenca" seems to be getting a bad rap lately.

So - taking in the weather - where is a "better" choice at this time?

We live in Florida and I am SOOO SICK of the heat - not to mention the snakes, spiders, scorpions etc - the thought of Low 70's year around is heaven!

Thanks for any suggestions or/and links to somewhere I can start to research.

We are hoping to be able to visit in the next 6 months with the intention of a move.
