Leaving for now

In a few hours we will be boarding a plane in Guayaquil to return to the USA. We have very much enjoyed our 3 month stay here. We did not visit all of the cities on our list (Cuenca, Quito, Cotacachi, Vilcabamba), but that's OK. The good news is that we have fallen in love with a small town, Bhia de Caraquez, are buying a condo apartment there, and will return to live full time. Then we will have ample time to visit the Andes and other places. We have very much enjoyed our time here, perhaps the most enjoyable 3 month period of my life. Have much to do up North in order to be able to return. We will miss Ecuador, especially Bahia and the people we have gotten to know, until we return.
