Tax return to foreign tourists

Starting from 2011 Ecuador starts returning the tax,IVA,consumer tax, to foreign tourists
They do that to promote tourism.At Guayaquil and Quito airport they will put a box.In here you deposit a copy of your passport,a copy of the bill and your request form.Refunding starts at $50.So ask for a bill with IVA on it.Think about hotel,flight to Galapagos etc.Here is the link:
