South America has been an apparent victim to the 'climate change' that most of the world is enduring. 25 years ago we could walk up to the lower part of Cayambe Snowcap and actually walk in snow and make snowballs. Now the snowcap that I look at every day from my mountain window has lost about 65% of its snow. This is not only happening in Ecuador but other so. amer. countries and many countries depend on drinking water from these snowcaps.
Alot of things are being discovered with the melting of the ice. Sad but fascinating.
