International Living Again

themovechannel.com site today had an article on the low retirement costs of Ecuador. They presented someone named John Curran who spoke at the International Living conference explaining how it is possible to live on $500 a month and that he and his partner live on less then $500 expenses a month.

This may be true in their circumstances but it irks me to some degree that they put this figure out and then all of sudden all these people thinking of moving to Ecuador believe that they can do it too.

My position is that it is possible and there are some on the list that live at that amount. However, I believe that it is the exception and not the rule.

I would love to hear your comments as to this figure as being realistic for most.
