Just joined today. Wanted to say Hola to all you fine folks. I'm an oldredneck from Kentucky. Moving to Cuenca in Sept. 2011 to see if this is the place for me. I'll try it for 3-6 months . Should know by then.

Originally tried Belize, but the weather was too much like Florida, including the hurricanes, and I never felt comfortable there. Wasn't there long as I had to get back to the States for family matters.

I've been reading a lot of the posts. I've learned a lot of info here I had not read anywhere else. My goodness...there are so many links to follow. One could be on this site all day.
