acceptance into a new country

Hello, I am new to the exchange. In Aug. of this year, I will be coming to Ecuador for several reasons.

First I want to look at the dental and medical information and if possible have some dental work done.

Another reason for coming is to check out lots of cities to actually move to and live.

I do have some special "exceptions" from the normal Expat. Maybe some of you will have some thought about this and share them with me. I do hope so.

Here is my exception. My son will be traveling with me and staying with me. He is 38 years old and disabled. That is one of the reasons why I am coming and staying over six months. He will have that length of time to adjust and accept.
He does have a speech problem and learning Spanish will more than likely be out of the question.

I guess my question to you guys is what and how do you think that a mentally challenged your adult would be accepted in this country?
