Mud Slinging in Ecuador

Based on what I have been reading and the responses here I thought it was about time i stepped in and added some pertinent information to this whole business of mud-slinging here in Ecuador, so here goes:

Anyone who would like to join us for a good old fashion mud bath complete with wallowing, dunking, mud bathing, mud massages and muddy activities and of course Mud Sliniging! -- Come join us tomorrow Monday at Banos San Vicente just off the road from Guayaquil about mile marker 115 before Salinas on the north side. There is a big white sign pointing the way.

A twenty minute ride past the farmland brings you to the Banos and the entrance fee is $4 to the pools and the mud volcanoe. Another $4 for a mud massage or aloe massage which you sign up for and $3 for use of the steam therapy rooms.

Wear and old bathing suit and bring towels/ And bring pocket change to grab snacks and Manabi dulces (sweets) from the kids who go around selling them.

After showering off and getting cold drinks and coco helados we are planning on heading up the road to San Pablo on the ocean for a late lunch and then wending our way back to Salinas/Anconcito.

so...if you are REALLY serious about your mud sliniging...and from what I am reading here most everyone is ....join us tomorrow ...we should be there by 11am...

...you'll probably find me in the steam/vapor rooms steaming out my lungs on the volcanic steam with chamomile mint and rosmary ... but if not, better watch your back! (fair warning!)
