MOVING IN A FEW MONTHS NEED REALISTIC RENT PRICES BY THE BEACH

We are moving probably by July and I'm still not sure about "real" rent prices. What I mean is that when you go online I find much higher prices than the ones mentioned here in the forum.
We are looking beach area, between Salinas and Bahia, nice small simple town. We love simple live, actually is what we are looking for...
We need a house with 2 bedrooms since we have 2 boys, nothing fancy..
Could I please have some real numbers on this?
I have the impression that you have the gringo price online but if you go there and talk with people you'll find a different price.
BTW we have latino background so we speak Spanish fluently, I consider that a plus right?
