Month in Salinas

My husband and I leave for Salinas on Mon May 2. We will be staying a month to explore retirement in Salinas. We are booked into COCOS and would like to ask a few questions before we take off.
Is it chilly enough at night to need a jacket?
Is there a place to either do or have done our laundry?
If we bring cash in $100 bills is this a problem getting it broken down at the bank?
I have been following this blog for a while now and find it helpful and entertaining so any help with answers would be great and if anyone has additional advise for us before we leave that would also be fantastic
