Ecuador Bans Bullfighting

This link is a generalization of some of the outcomes of the recent vote. Bullfighting has been banned, but not a black and white thing, as it can 'go on' if the bull is not killed. Cockfighting has been banned as well, and this is certainly small enough to 'go underground' and continue. Too many people do it here, but rarely do the cockfighters let their fighting cock die as they have too much money and pride invested in them (not to say that this activity is good!). I suppose the big Galeria Municipal of Cockfights here in Otavalo, an activity dating back many years, and scene of much gambling, will have to close!

Also Casino Gambling is banned, and Peru had boasted income due to its installation of casinos. There are quite a few in Quito and Guay. I have never heard of dog fighting down here, thank God. Also...more control by the prez., as if we did not already know that! Same as in the states really...The photo in this article shows an Otavalen indian voting...I didn't, but will prepare and do so the next time.
