Getting Papers in order - Help!!

Hello, My husband and I plan to move to Ecuador in a few months and I'm having trouble getting info on what papers I need notorized and/or apostilled. I heard somewhere we needed: birthcerts, marrage cert, health cert, police background check, income letters (SS and pension), bank letter of good credit, and of course my dogs papers. The dog stuff I could find out, the other I can't get a straight answer on. I know laws change from day to day in some cases but I want to be prepared and not leave anything out. Oh, then I need them all translated to Spanish. That's no problem, but do I need them translated to a certain form? Once I get them notorized and appostilled and translated, then I take them to our nearest Consulate in Atlanta, Ga for them to certify. Is that right so far? If anyone can help or aim me in the right direction it would be greatly appriciated!
Kris
