Hello to everyone. Although I've been reading the Ec forum the past few days, this is my first post.
Just wanted to update everyone with more details on the Punta Blanca incident, home invasion.
Punta Blanca is actually a large neighborhood that includes many homes on the outskirts of the large white condo buildings known as Punta Blanca. The particular entrance to this home's area has a one man guard shack that is often missing it's one man guard.
I wouldn't call it a gated community, I would call it a community with a sort-of gate.
So, actually, it was pretty easy pickin's for anyone truely wanting to set up a robbery and not the big shocker the newspaper portrayed (although I'm glad they brought attention to what could also be considered a vulnerable area).
Also, interestingly enough, the police could not be reached by phone (line busy) during the entire robbery, 15 minutes or so, but answered the phone, serval minutes later.
hmmmm.
Just thought everyone should know what's is more likely to be the "real scoop".
