Manos arriba, calzones abajo

Earlier this week there was the bus holdup just outside of Guayaquil - for those who don't speak Spanish - if you are on a bus and hear this phrase - it means "hands up - underwear down" or hands up and pants down --- which means you are being robbed. I don't want any of you hurt because you didn't understand the phrase.

Another phrase if you are being robbed by an assailant on the street - some criminals will tell you -- hoy no es su dia - or no tiene suerte hoy - today is not your day and you don't have luck today. ---

As to the bus robbery - I read another report - that stated one of the women on the bus was groped - I am surprised that a worse sexual assault did not happen.
