Residency Help!

Hello all. I am sure this is a commonly discussed topic but here goes.
My fiancee and I are planning on moving to Ecuador in September and so I need to get moving on the necessary steps to get my residency. My fiancee is a dual citizen already and we plan on getting married in Ecuador after a couple months. We already have some real estate (in her name) and it is NOT valued above $25,000. From what I have read, there are a number of types of visas I can apply for which I will need before I can apply for my residency. The problem is: which one? We are not planning on getting jobs, we are starting a farm. I have no pension or anything, I just plan on working for myself. What do I do guys? I have a college degree, could I get a professional visa?
