Visa help

I truly appreciate all the help I have received in this forum. I hope that I cn help someone as much as I have been helped. Mike and I moved to Ecuador this past June. We applied for our investors visa in April and I feel like we have been getting the run around from our attorney. we finally have all the paperwork through and our visas were supposed to get picked up last week. Then it changed to this week, then to today. When I called him a few minutes ago he said that the dept head has been out on medical leave for the past month so it will be another week. (Yesterday he said that his assistant was in Quito that day and they would be ready today). I know this is Ecuador and everything takes A LOT longer but I think he is lying to us about all the trips he and his staff are making to Quito in our behalf. Des anyone know if the lady who handles this in Quito is/was on medical leave? I would not want to reccomend this attorney if in fact he is lying to us. Thanks again for all the information.-Jane
