Ileostomy and Colostomy supplies

We often hear about what we can and cannot find easily in Ecuador.

Some friends and guests have been asking about ostomy supplies and it appears this is one of the more difficult items to find here in Ecuador, at least here in the Guayaquil and Santa Elena Peninsula areas.

It is not that they do not exist but they are older design and not as easily available even then.

As these items are only available by prescription in the USA it is an item you will want to stock up on for a move to the country. And you will want to set up a courier drop with one of the mail shippment houses out of Miami for sending down your prescription at regular intervals.

My friends here are currently in consultation with the major suppliers in Ecuador that handle this area about upgrading their supplies and importing the level of supplies they are accustomed to in the US but it appears it will take some time for this to happen.

Just wanted to get the word out to those who need this.
