Rent or by on the coast

Hi we are a Canadian couple looking to move to Equador in the next 6-12 months.We are looking for a beach town that is within 30 minutes of a bigger city.We would like to buy or rent a 1-3 bedroom house or condo other on the beach or ocean view.Our price range would be 40-60k or 400-600 a month.We would like to live somewhere a little bit laid back but close to a city with all the services.We would be willing to take a place that isn't quite up to north american standars if it was on the beach.Can anyone give us advice on where to look or some websites.Also is there an easy way to translate spanish websites. I am a bricklayer and my wife a physio therapy assistant,is there any way we could find work part time.Thanks in advance for your help.
