Handicapped relocation cont'd

Sorry my previous question generate so much "friction" among posters, most of which had nothing to do with the original question.

So back on subject, I have read where some people have had trouble bringing in items that customs thinks might actually be meant to be "sellable" , to avoid duties. My wife has been in a wheelchair for 36 years. We have learned ( and it has probably been reinforced due to our background as IT professionals) to always have backups!

Hence we have 2 wheelchair capable cars. We also have 8 electric wheelchairs ( some going back 25 yrs but i have kept them functional for an emergency such as extended power outages even if parts these days are few and far between). Similar redundancy occurs on oxygen concentrators (3), and being IT people ..computers (15+ still working if you include the ones from the 1990s that our kids used in high school... They may be old but are still usable for email and if one is damaged or stolen while traveling the older ones are worth $40-50 USD .... much better than losing a new $2500 USD laptop from 2011!

The car issue was discussed earlier, but now I am wondering about the other stuff.

So the gist of all this is, we would be bringing our personal belongings via cargo container, but with multiples of similar items, I fear we will run afoul of customs personnel.

Any suggestions on work rounds?
