EC Lawyering-What a joke!

OK, so I am an impatient hard-headed gringo. That's a given. Bur, gimme a breah! I have never been a party to a legal system. and those that claim to be in the legal profession, that is totally in the dark ages. Nothing can get done without time consuming and painfully rediculous hurdles to cross on even the simplest piece of piece requiring legal approval. It does not matter if it is immigration, real estate, familt law or even the simplest of transactions, it will take forever, cost way too much and try your patience at every front. I have has the (dis)pleasure of working with four different attornies in the past 18 months and found that a decent lawyer is as haed to find as a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. Even the simple task of getting something notarized is slow archaic and terrible expensive. I would rather seek a papal blessing than have anything to do with the Ecuador legal system. I am not even talking about corruption here folks! Ge whiz, if anyone has had even an acceptable experience, I would sure love to hear about!
