Bringing larger dogs to Ecuador: Alternative to Cargo

I've heard wonderful things about Gabriel Carrion of Lord Kennels. For more information about him; his vet work, involvement with dogs and participation with AERCAN (the Ecuador equivalent of AKC) check out his web page at www.lordguau.com

My most recent info is that he does have private plane service to bring in animals and they will arrive in Quito. He also has safe, secure and environmental controlled ground transport to move your pet to their new home. And he has vet's on staff on the plane and during the ground travel.

I'll be dropping him a line to see exactly what other services he may offer for pets coming to Ecuador.

By the way, this info comes from individuals who have used his service who post on the Ecuador Expats board on FaceBook.

PS -- for those following the boxer saga: so far Poochie's eyelid surgery has shown negative for malignancies. Awaiting one more test result for Monday. Who knew my boxer is so vain he would want an eye lift at 10 years of age? In not so happy news, PJ slipped through the gate again last Sunday and we have put out flyers for that little rascal. Hopefully that SOB (no really his mother is a ...) will get back here where he belongs. we MISS him terribly (and I spent most of this week crying over it...yeah I'm emotional that way)
