Canada: Passport Renewals

Great news for Canadians needing to renew their passport. The embassy in Quito just started accepting the simplified passport form, which means no guarantor is required, if you meet all the requirements. Just fill out the form, include photos, and send a certified cheque (or pay cash in person) for $100 USD.

That's right from the Quito consular officer five minutes ago. She definitely made my day!

[Note: the information is from the Consular Office that the Embassy will be accepting the form. Remember Canada is not a treaty country to the Hague Conventions ...Moderator]
