Well, I'm here.. finally.

It was a dark, rainy night in Feburary, The flight was booked to capacity, and although the 737 was larger and more modern than the previous plane, there was one problem... the back row of seats didn't recline.
Grasshopper sat in the back row, tired and sore from all the moving and wishing he could just lean back. But that wasn't going to happen. The Flight attendants had told him they would move him up and get him comfortable, but try as they might, they passengers kept filing in... there would be no moving. He assured them it was alright and thanked them for trying. The oldest of the two kind ladys told Hopper she would make it up to him - and she was good on her word. As soon as the flight to Quito was in the air, she handed him two bottles of Absolute vodka and an abundant amount of orange juice along with a wink, but no charge. when those were gone, the fine lady did the same thing, two more bottles, more OJ as well.
Later, the smell of the heated up in flight meals made his long empty stomach rumble with hunger and the first of the two flight angles leaned over his sholder and asked simply, "chicken or beef?"
"Beef would be nice," he replied. Then, before the cart was loaded and taken to the front of the cabin for the meals to be given out, front to back, she sat his meal down on his tray and smiled.
So, without much hesitation, nor much regard for the looks of the surrounding passengers who were drinkless and foodless, he dug in. four empty bottles and a pile of now empty food containers sat in front of him, and he was content... but still wished he could recline jis seat.

So, I'm in Quito, gonna shower and get a cab back to the airport and but a flight down to Cuenca. I wonder what this short trip will be like?
