Almost current Cedula requirements

The following was taken and translated from the Registo Civil website on 1 August: http://www.registrocivil.gob.ec

The only things that have changed are that a birth certificate is no longer required—Your passport is acceptable because you had to produce a birth certificate to get a passport—DUH-Ecuador finally got the message. You also no longer have to produce a utility bill as proof of an address. Everything else is current. Any questions send me a PM.

Requirements:
• Certificate of registration and identity cards issued by the Directorate of Immigration of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Integration.
• Original and copy of valid passport.
• Birth certificate legalized or apostilled with translation if applicable
• Original and copy of current visa.
• Proof of payment of the service fee.

Note: This procedure is only performed at the Matrix in Quito agency (UN and Edf Amazon or Guayaquil Provisora October 9th Av between Pedro Carbo and Pichincha) and in the office of the city center of Cuenca.
The card will be delivered 48 hours after the process realized.

For instruction. - A document certifying their level of education in original and copy. If document issued abroad, presented in original and notarized copy in Ecuador, duly authenticated by the Ecuadorian consulate or legally have the apostille and translated, if applicable.

To Profession. - Original and copy of their professional or simple print registration SENESCYT website if the title was recorded in Ecuador.

To Address. - Copy of document core services (electricity, water or telephone) or any other date estrablezca home address.
To state civil.-Depending on the case the applicant must
have:

Married: Widowed Marriage Certificate: Death Certificate of the spouse.
Divorced: Document certifying the condition issued by Competent Authority. If the act was done or abroad will be requested a document from the country of origin, marital status certifying User, legalized or apostilled and translated if applicable.
In case the act was done or made in the country, is applicant shall submit a complete copy, either that of marriage, death of a spouse or the marriage with divorce sub-registration as applicable.

For people with Discapacidad.-original and copy be submitted to CONADIS card.

General provisions for Foreigners: Primera.-In cases in which no birth certificates establishing the nationality of the parents, you must fill out a form for the user to make an affidavit that sets out this information.
Second. - Orders inconsistencies ID card issued by the Directorate of Immigration, an exception must be validated from Monday July 9 to July 20, 2012 by filing an affidavit.
