Yes my friends it is time for that honored tradition:

Who REALLY LIVES HERE in Ecuador?

How many YEARS/Months have you lived in Ecuador (not visited please..lived here as a resident!)

What do you do -- work, travel, teach, missionary, student, retired?

Naturally no one is compelled to answer these questions

This is a service to folks looking for information here on the Ecuador ExpatExchange as from time to time we find that a lot of misinformation and absolutes are stated by folks who have either 1) visited Ecuador once a few months ago and perhaps plan to return or 2) never actually visited but do a lot of reading (armchair travelers)

Now we love both of these groups -- travelers are in fact my business, I run an Inn on the Coast ... but it does separate the REAL info from the DREAMS ...because visiting is never like actually living in a new country.

And yes there are a few (I can think of two) exceptions who will be included in this list -- who have long histories LIVING IN ECUADOR who due to business currently travel outside the country extensively but are considered as Living in Ecuador for the purposes of this year's version...
