luggage but not luggage

There are alternatives to coming with luggage - many people have used purchased lockers and plastic containers.

I thought I had found the perfect item at Wal-Mart - and (bummer) the dimensions are 1/2 inch too big.

I cannot take the chance and get to the airport and pay an additional $150 for being oversized.

So, who can offer suggestions - and please don't tell me that I can go to such and such website and buy the perfect item for only $100. I just cannot afford that.

I am open to suggestions, but I am also tight on budget.
