Visa from your home country!!!!

Although it is written in stone that only The Ecuadoran Embassy in Ecuador can approve and issue visa's it is entirely acceptable to do all the prep work, doc', notaries, authentications, apostles and translations from English to Spanish. Point in fact I am an American living in a foreign country with my foreign wife and her son..I went to the Ecuador consulate and the top man sat with me and reviewed my package, with had all the necessary documents from Police clearances from my wife's country to USA, Social security income, marriage doc's, son's birth doc;s you name it and it was documented and reviewed and signed off by the Ecuador Consulate in my wife's country...it will be mailed to the Embassy in Ecuador for approve and a visa will be sent back to the consulate to be placed in our passports...so we leave here and when we arrive in Ecuador we will be coming home! Cost..you would be shocked...a fraction of any attorney and also all the facilitators as well...it can be done and we did it.
Oh have found out somethings that you will not be advise to do from facilitators in Ecu...that the consulate told us to have done...so be parpared

I received lists that were lacking some of the more important documents required...i.e. Social Security letter should be backed up with a bank letter stating you have direct deposit if you do...and also some monthly bank statements...and don't forget to have your passport notarized when you send it to the Ecuador Embassy in Wash. D.D. with your SS letter and the original envelope it came in...lastly if you have been in another country for 5+ years have that in writing from the city and/or municipality in which you live...
