Advice needed!

Hello!

I am a 25 year old Mexican-American from Illinois. I want to move to Ecuador to teach English!

English is my native language and my Spanish is good although not perfect, but getting by communication-wise would not be a problem. I would like to leave either late this year or January of next year to do Celta in Ecuador. I will have about 10k in savings. I've never lived in a huge city but I have lived abroad before (Brazil) so I feel I could adapt anywhere. What are good towns for expats around my age?

I am curious about the following: where would be a good town for me, and also when would be the best time to start CELTA there (either late this year or early next year)? I graduate in August with a degree in Anthropology. I heard some schools hire year round and some don't so I would like to be able to start looking for jobs at a time of the year where there are many teaching opportunities.

I have stated two specific questions but any advice about moving to Ecuador or ESL would be appreciated...especially if you have experience with the program Celta In Ecuador.
