Inter-Country Travel

Hello Folks,

I hope to travel to Quito in the 1st week of June and jump from there to Cali in Colombia within a day or so. I definitely plan to return to Quito from Cali but I'm not sure when -- perhaps in 2 weeks or perhaps in 6 weeks. These days every govt wants to see a return flight path upon arrival at the airport.

Can someone advise me on the best way to allow me flexibility? Is it possible for me to purchase a 1-way to Cali and also a 1-way from Cali to Quito that could have a felxible (changeable) return date? Do airlines allow this? I am getting a headache over this and would appreciate help. Thanks !!
