Looking for info

I was looking for some info on Ecuador. My family and I are considering moving there I have two children 11 and 12. I was wondering about schools. But first let me say my wife and son have dual citizenship between Ecuador and the U.S. and my wife can get my daughter citizenship as well. We have a large support structure in Ecuador as well. I'm not worried about being scammed since her and the family will take care of me. But I am looking to move there and finish my applied linguistic degree online while teaching English. During this time I will have a Monthly income on 2200 (from military) bucks not including the English teaching (I have tesol cert). Is that enough to live comfortably. I just looking for outside knowledge since. We live great in US but looking to slow down a little.
