Lots of Questions: Buying a ranch/farm with existing big house and other outbuildings....

I am considering a move to Cuenca -- preferably the place they call little Cuenca. I was wondering about the natural disasters/predators/diseases etc that are prevalent in that area.

What animals are typically on farms/ranches. Is it easy to get good house-grounds keepers?

I am totally unsure I can do this -- I will know in 60 days if it would even be a financial possibility to do this -- Plan 1.

I am wondering what it would cost -- a fair, not cheap, salary if I need keepers to handle the house and property grounds -- not entire ranch. A driver - 'body guard' for lack of a better word. Also a woman/man friday -- like a full time live in right hand that can teach me the local language and customs.

I would like to rent rooms and or other houses that may be on the property -- any idea of what I could expect to make?

What are the natural predators/bad weather/volcanic or any other issues like this.

Is this area near an airport. I know Cuenca would be the closest large city. What is the nearest hospital/airport?

I am disabled, and need a slower pace with sun, warmth, and fresh air along with beautiful views semi-near to other people who have chosen this area to retire in.

For whoever lives in the place I am describing -- tell me about it. The USA is no longer a place I really want to invest in. I'd be flying in to visit family several times a year -- will the USA still provide me my SS Disability or Retirement money?

Sorry for all the questions but this place looks like a great alternative to what I have with nicer people, cleaner air, and a slower pace with no snow!
