REALITY on bringing a feline into Ecuador???

There is no end of BS online as to what will actually be required to import a gd cat into Ecuador from the uSa. (And plenty of people charging $$$ to provide 'Pet Passports', blah, blah:(

Anyone with recent 1st hand experience importing a single healthy cat Please share your experience.

I can get the FVLCP Vac and 3 year Rabies done (more than 30 but less than 60...) days in advance, and (if necessary) have my vet complete form 7001 (in Spanish?) less than 30 days in advance, and I remember something about having a hard-carrier handy if changing planes in Panama, but good god, do I really need FDA approval or Apostilling of any of the above?, and Ecuadoran Consulate approval?? and fees payable to everyone who's path I may cross between now and actually exiting the airport in Quito???

I am pretty certain that most human civilizations which have collapsed - mysteriously or otherwise - did so under the layer upon layer weight of their own lies and fraud, and damn if we aren't one straw away from doing so in one grand planetary finale.... (Sorry for venting - I just exited a long awaited State Managed Health Care Hearing which was a COMPLETE and useless farce/fraud:((((((((((((
