Cherries!

As many have probably noticed the locals are now selling fresh cherries!
I wanted to share my experience with a terrible affliction that started a couple of months ago. I got gout in my big toe! Whoa, whoever said "getting old isn't for the weak hearted" knew what they were talking about. Extremely painful so I broke down and went to the doctor. He confirmed my suspicion that I was suffering from "gout!" He put me on meds and said it should help with no serious side effects. That didn't help, it actually got worse. Then, in the same foot, I got plantar faciatis (sp). This was a life changer. I could barely walk! I remembered my grandmother telling me to eat cherries for my feet and knees after an injury and I just blew her off, but I remembered.
I went out looking for Epsom Salt, did the soaks, looked for fresh cherries, none to be found, quit the doctors meds because it wasn't helping at all and just sat around and worried I would never have life the same again. LOL
Then the Cherry Fairy came to town about two weeks ago. I bought a pound! I thought to myself, "I would eat a democrat if it made my foot better," but that was not necessary.
Two days after eating the cherries my gout quit hurting!
I still was hurting very bad with the plantar thingy. I went out and bought two pounds of cherries to keep on hand in case the gout came back.
I am happy to report that two days ago the plantar fasciatis (sp) made a major change for the better too. Today I can report the gout is gone, the plantar fasciatis (is almost completely gone, and all my joints that always ached are much much better.
I guess my grandmother knew what she was talking about. Don't take my word for it, check it out yourselves if you need.
