Moving To Ecuador

Hello All,

I'm a single 60 year old woman that has thought of living outside the U.S. for years. Ecuador has been on my list for years every since I read Living in Ecuador. I'm looking for real feedback on livability as an expat there and any advise that you have. I am NOT looking to find America there, just the opposite where there is a human component where people want to connect and care about each other.
I've wanted to do this for such long time but have been a little apprehensive to make such a life change at my age. I have tricare medical insurance if it is accepted? Does anyone have advise for getting medical insurance?
Any general advise or mentions on renting, cost of living etc. is greatly appreciated.
