Drivers License Waiting

I have a visa, and now I want my drivers license.

I hired a Cuenca company to take care of translations. paperwork and citas. They charge US style fees, but considering their way of communicating, in the US they'd be out of business in no time.

Before I paid, I was told that when I had my papers, the test appointment would be almost immediate. Then I paid.

Now ,about a month after my paperwork is done, I am still waiting.

I had heard that testing appointments in Cuenca can take a long time, but not for immigrants,

Does anybody here have an experience with making an appointment for testing in Cuenca - and how long did it take to get it?

Any experence, from other locations too, are greatly welcomed.
