Looking to move to Ecuador, tried Joseph Guzany / Expat Law Group, something seems off, please help

My family and I are looking to move to Ecuador in about 9-10 months. I searched online and found Joseph Guznay [email protected] recommended several places online so we decided to start with him.

I emailed him and after his initial reply saying he would send us more info he never sent any information or replied to any further emails from my wife or my own email. Figuring he was a busy man i found this site that seemed to be where he was working https://expatlawgroup.com/ and contacted them. They replied and we set up a consult and got the information we wanted from them but never talked directly to Joseph about it. We have not send any money to ELG yet as we are going for a professional visa and was told we had to wait until we had the apostilled documents from our university here however ELG did send me a payment link when we were ready. I noticed after that the payment link was the the person who we spoke to on the phone not to ELG which seemed kind of odd to me.

Fast forward 2 weeks to today and Joseph responds to my email with the information requested and he is quoting prices 50% less than ELG quoted us.

So now we are really questioning what is going on and if someone we are talking to isn't being honest to us. We don't want to throw money away on a scam and have to pay someone else to do this process for us.

Does anyone have any recent information on Joseph Guznay or ELG? Is Joseph even still around? Is ELG legitimate?

Or is there someone else you'd recommend with reasonable prices?
