moving to cairo with children

20 years ago
I want nothing more than to relocate to Cairo with my husband. My fear is the instability of the political climate as related to Americans as well as the safety of my very blonde, very beautiful 7 year old daughter. I fully intend to home school, but I would want her to be an active member of the community. We plan to live in Maadi, and I hope to attend classes in Egyptology. Would someone please comment on the generaly safety of such a young girl in the country. Thanks so much.
