Renting in Cairo

Hey, I'm 21 and run an online business. I'm fed up of the UK and would love to live in Cairo for six months and see how it goes, having already visited. This wouldn't affect my business as it's all online. Thing is, I don't know where to start with accommodation! I've gone on E-DAR.com, but the lowest prices seem to be the same as I'm paying now in Manchester (£220PCM)!

Surely that can't be right, seeing as I heard you can employ a builder for £5 for a whole day. Therefore some Cairo builders would be earning £200PCM, so there must be places for under £100pcm based on this, unless this fact from BBC is wrong or outdated?
All I want is a kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and study/reception room in a secure, air conditioned accommodation that can have broadband installed, without drug-dealer neighbours, for about £150PCM. Is EDAR more for english high-flyers in the Cairo financial hub or am I just not searching correctly. Or, is Cario now more expensive than the north of England!!!???
